Our Mission
Abu Unity Incorporated's mission is to prevent violent outcomes and gang participation among our youth and young adults using arts (creative expression), mentorship (support/education), and engagement (civics/community).
Our Approach: Prevention
Abu Unity Incorporated takes a proactive, community-centered approach to violence prevention, engaging young people who face the highest risk of violence, whether as participants or victims, before a crisis occurs. Through intentional arts programming, mentorship, and civic engagement, we create meaningful pathways away from violence and toward purpose, belonging, and opportunity.
Our Approach: Intervention
When a violent incident occurs, Abu Unity Incorporated moves quickly to support those most impacted. Our intervention model meets young people at their most vulnerable, connecting them to resources, stabilization, and healing before the justice system becomes their primary point of contact. We believe early, high-touch intervention is essential to breaking cycles of violence and restoring stability within our community.
